Twilight

Twilight was photographed from above in the Maldives as day gave way to dusk.

As the sun disappeared, the sky shifted into a deep purple hue, casting a softer, quieter light across the ocean below. From the air, the islands seemed to emerge gently from the water, scattered across the seascape beneath the fading evening sky.

What drew me to the scene was its stillness.

Unlike the intensity of a sunset, dusk often feels more reflective - the final pause between day and night, when everything becomes quieter and the landscape takes on a completely different mood.

Twilight is a photograph about that fleeting transition: the Maldives suspended beneath a sky of violet light, caught in the last moments before darkness.
