These awards not only honour technical excellence, but also reflect the impact of his work in inspiring connection, curiosity, and meaningful action for the natural world.

In 2024, Kaush’s underwater work was awarded the grand prize winner of the Flow Trip Photo Contest Water Category. His winning image "The Fever" showcases a school of stingrays cruising through the waters of the Maldives.
The award celebrated technical excellence, artistic composition, and meaningful storytelling from the underwater world.
Kaush has received multiple honours from the British Photography Awards, including shortlists and honorable mentions across the “Water Life” and “Drone” categories.
His images "Isolation", "Solitary", "Pensive", and "Pachyderm Periscope" have all been nominated for awards in the British Photography Awards. These awards celebrate narrative-led ocean photography that blends ethical practice, technical control, and compelling visual storytelling.
Peixinho was made possible through the Ocean Culture Life storytelling grant awarded to Kaush, enabling him to travel, film, and bring the project to life with the care and intention it deserved. The film - released in early 2025 - follows a sensitive, character-led narrative that explores our relationship with the ocean through themes of identity, belonging, and emotional connection.
Since its release, Peixinho has been recognised globally, winning or being officially selected for more than 20 film festivals around the world. Its cinematography, intimate storytelling, and focus on conservation-driven themes have resonated with audiences internationally, further establishing Kaush’s voice as a filmmaker rooted in purpose and authenticity.
Kaush’s work was recognised at the Ocean Photographer of the Year awards in 2025. His image "Curious Giants" was a finalist in what is the leading competition for ocean imagery that celebrates impactful storytelling and conservation-focused work.
His image of Grey Whales in Baja California, Mexico, was nominated in the Human Connection Award: People & Planet Ocean.
