Savannah Seduction

Savannah Seduction was photographed in Kenya in 2021.

Two zebras came together on the open plains, creating a brief and intimate moment of natural behaviour.

In colour, the surrounding landscape competed for attention. In black and white, the scene became much simpler - the striped forms of the two animals standing out against the softness of the savannah around them.

What interested me most was the contrast between pattern and movement.

Zebras are such visually striking animals that even a fleeting interaction can become almost graphic when everything else is stripped away.

Savannah Seduction is a photograph about instinct, connection and the quieter behaviours that form part of everyday life in the wild.
